This talk is the last talk in 2011. The talk will have two parts:

 

Part 1 provides trends in requirements and solutions of  SoC Architecture in the embedded space. The presentation includes introduction of multicore, accelerators and emerging of ecosystem innovative solution. An LTE example will be provided. The Provide a walk through LTE example based on Power Architecture.

Part 2 provides highlights of the recently held Globecom 2011 December 6-9 and outlook to the upcoming Globecom and ICC conferences.

 

Speaker: Fawzi Behmann, IEEE Chair of Communications/Signal Processing Societies in Austin


Speaker Bio:

Fawzi Behmann has over 30 years of experience in fields from semiconductor to service providers value chain focusing in the areas of communications and networking. He is currently Director of Marketing and Strategic Advisor at Power.org.

Prior to Power.org, Behmann held a variety of product and marketing leadership posts with semiconductor companies, equipment vendors and global service providers in the networking and communications industry.  As a part of the Canadian Delegation team, Behmann participated in the development of ITU M.3000 standards for Telecom Management Networks in Geneva. He has written and published several white papers and has been presenter and keynote speaker at several conferences.

Behmann holds a Bachelor of Science Honors in Mathematics with Distinction from Concordia University, a Masters in Computer Science from Waterloo University and an Executive MBA from Queens University in Canada. Behmann is currently a senior member of IEEE.
